Symptoms of COVID-19

Many people of the different parts of the world face a type of precedent challenge that significantly affects the country’s economy. Approximately more than a 2.1million people are affected by this virus in the world. A total Death cause by COVID-19 in the world is 2.67 million.

The World Health Organization is trying by applying several techniques to stop the massive spreading of such pandemic. But this virus is the family of all types of viruses which include respiratory illness. Middle East syndrome and severe acute respiratory syndrome is the major illness of COVID-19. 

Spreading of COVID-19:

When sneeze, cough, or talk to another person within 6 feet, a person suffering from Coronavirus is a type of opportunity for the virus to spread. Then the Coronavirus enters your body by mouth nose from airborne droplets, and then it passes to the back of the nasal passage and mucous membrane. After this, viruses attach to the different cells and then start multiplying and move towards the lungs. From the lungs, it travels towards every tissue of the body. 

Here are some common symptoms of Coronavirus. 

Symptoms of COVID-19:

  • The prevalent and key symptom of Coronavirus is a dry cough, shortness of breath and sneeze. 
  • Headache and sour throat, muscle pain, and loss of taste or smell are the new Coronavirus symptoms. 
  • Chest pain is not enlisted in CDC of COVID-19 symptoms but included in severe symptoms of Coronavirus by the WHO. 

CDC reported in July that 34% of 164 confirmed cases; patients are suffering from chest pain and feeling discomfort.

 Is muscle pain a symptom of COVID-19?

Muscle pain (aka myalgia) is a newly added symptom of COVID-19 and is a bit surprising. The WHO reported 55,924 confirmed cases in February in the country of China. They determined the patients, in which 15% of patients were also suffering from myalgia.  

Symptoms of COVID-19 in old age person:

The chances of spreading COVID-19 increase with the increase of age. A person above than 50y age has more risks to suffer from COVID-19. Such a person should take more care as compared to others. 

Here are some symptoms for old age people

  • The temperature of such a person becomes lower than the average body temperature. 
  • The decrease in the level of oxygen in the body.
  • Such a person experience breathing rapidly. 
  • The rate of the heart is also increased. 

Symptoms in Toddlers:

Children are not at higher risk of COVID-19, but the infant is at higher risk. The children can be keep away from COVID-19 by washing their hands and keep them away from sick peoples. The symptoms of the children are milder as compared to adults. Their symptoms include,

  • Running of their nose 
  • Fever 
  • Cough
  • Diarrhea 
  • Vomiting

Is Diarrhea a symptom of COVID-19?

Most of the people who are suffering from COVID-19 also develop gastrointestinal symptoms. In Beijing, while the research found that 79% of people who develop gastrointestinal symptoms suffer from COVID-19.

In America, the Journal of Gastroenterology found digestive symptoms of 206 patients suffering from Coronavirus. Hence, it is concluded that a person suffering from Coronavirus can also suffer from Diarrhea. 

Vomiting (Symptom):

Vomiting is also one of the enlisted symptoms of COVID-19. Children suffering from Coronavirus also experience vomiting more than adults. The researchers determined the COVID-19 cases related to digestive issues and concluded that 10 to 15% of adults experience vomiting than 40 to 50% of children experiencing vomiting. 

Pneumonia (Symptom):

Pneumonia is the inflammation of tiny air sacs inside the lungs. It is also known as lung infection. A person suffering from pneumonia has difficulty breathing, and their lungs fill up with liquid while living. Dizziness, rapid breathing, and heavy sweating are the symptoms of pneumonia, due to which a person is suffering from COVID-19. 

 High blood pressure (Symptom):

High blood pressure is also the primary symptom of COVID-19. People having high blood pressure are more likely to die from Coronavirus. The reason is that people having high blood pressure have a weak immune system, due to which such a person have an increased risk of affecting by Coronavirus.

The COVID-19 is spreading in a vast quantity from person to person. For two years, no such treatment or vaccine is developed except for safety measures. Only safety measures can be followed to reduce the spreading of COVID-19. And the safety measures can be followed by knowing the symptoms, including dry coughing, sneezing, increasing temperature, and fever. the people are having age more than 50y have higher risks as compared to younger. the infant children have different symptoms from common symptoms of COVID-19. The children’s symptoms include running nose and vomiting. The old person and infant children suffering from such symptoms should take more care.
